Pete's Memorial: a Beautiful & Bittersweet Family Reunion
As I reflect on this most beautiful and intriguing weekend in Spokane, I cannot help but feel gratitude for reconnecting with the family. I enjoyed almost every minute with the highs and the lows (except the Buffalo's loss of course haha). I hope that my photos here document a few of those moments so that we can always remember the awesome Pete Fraser and stay closer as family.
Music has a wonderful way of transcending the moment. I started crying uncontrollably when the pipes fired up. It connected my love for my grand father with our heritage. It was a beautiful way to celebrate a community hero like Pete.
Waving good bye to the bag piper was a great way to send Pete off. Celebrating with family and friends was cathartic.
